What do Neuromodulators do?

Facial expressions are what form frown lines and wrinkles, which is what happens when the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines. Neuromodulators are prescription medications that block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions so expression lines are softened.

• Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults for a short period of time (temporary). It is not known if XEOMIN is safe and effective in children under 18 years of age. $10.00/unit
• DAXXIFY® is FDA-approved to smooth moderate to severe lines between the brows. It is the only long-lasting frown line treatment powered by a peptide with results that last on average 6 months and up to 9 months for some.* The active ingredient in DAXXIFY® is a purified protein called botulinum toxin type A.

*At least 50% of patients in clinical studies had no or minor frown lines 6 months after treatment. Between 3% and 5% of patients in clinical studies had no or minor frown lines 9 months after treatment. Dermal Fillers.

What are Dermal Fillers and what do they do?

As we age, we lose bone and volume (fat pads), specifically in our face, which causes wrinkles and skin fold to become more obvious. Dermal fillers are used to correct moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and skin fold by replacing that lost volume. Fillers are also used to enhance facial features by increasing the fullness of lips, cheeks, chin, under-eye hollows, and jawline.

We offer several different options of dermal filler injectable products from the Restylane® and Sculptra® by Galderma, Versa ® by Prollenium, Radiesse® by Merz, and RHA By Revance. Each dermal filler specially targets different body areas, including the cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionettes, jaw line, lower face, temples, lips, and more. Some are shorter-lasting, while others provide longer-lasting, and more natural effects.

Biostimulators.

• Sculptra® is an injectable composed of PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid).  Sculptra® helps replenish lost facial collagen. Sculptra® works with your body within the deep dermis to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skins inner structure and volume. Collagen is the most common protein in the body and helps support the skins inner structure. You can expect to see steady improvement in lines and wrinkles over 6 months and can last 2-3 years.

• Radiesse® is an injectable composed of calcium hydroxyapatite. Like Sculptra®, Radiesse® is a biostimulator which activates fibroblasts to stimulate collagen production. Skin can begin to look more voluminous in about three days. You should expect to see significant results after 10 days. Radiesse® continues to look better over time. Additional improvements in skin quality can be seen over the next 4 weeks. Radiesse® can be used in the face to treat marionette lines, temple hollowing, cheeks, and jawline. Radiesse® can also be used to enhance the appearance of your hands. Radiesse® can restore volume loss and minimize the visibility of veins and tendons. The duration for Radiesse® can last 18-24 months, which is longer than many other fillers on the market.

PRP & PRF.

PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin. It comes from your own blood. Even though both PRP and PRF contain healing and regenerative growth factors, the advantage of PRF is a more effective serum that lasts substantially longer than when injected or microneedled into the skin making PRF a superior choice to PRP. PDO Threading.

Are one of three types of sutures commonly used in thread lift procedures. The other two types are made from polylactic acid (PLA) and polycaprolactone (PCA).

A PDO thread lift is designed to subtly lift the facial features to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while encouraging collagen production for more volume in the treated areas. PDO threads come in a variety of textures for customized treatments.

The presence of these sutures in your skin triggers cells in your body called fibroblasts to produce more collagen. Collagen is the protein that gives your skin its structure and elasticity. Loss of collagen is one of the main causes of aging skin. 

PDO threads can be further divided into three categories:

1. PDO Mono-threads. Smooth sutures that help rejuvenate your skin by stimulating collagen production.
2. PDO Cog-threads. These threads have barbs that latch into your skin like small fishhooks, to provide support and lift parts of your face.
3. PDO Screw-threads. Made up of one or two intertwined threads, these are used to help restore volume to sunken parts of your skin.
